Hazelwell Weekly Contact 20th September 2020
Prayers are requested for:-

Members of our congregation who are sick, currently undergoing or waiting for treatment.
All who have lost lives, livelihoods, homes and possessions in the wildfires on the West coast of the USA
Parish update
Last Sunday the service was attended by 13 people and 7 others on Zoom. Though the “new normal” form of services takes a little getting used to as we adhere to the guide-lines, we have increasing numbers participating week on week.
It was good to have a vicar presiding on Sunday and this week’s service will be taken by a Methodist minister Revd. Tony Johnson following our normal pattern. Revd. Eliakim Ikechukwu will be with us again the following week (October 4th).
This Sunday at Hazelwell
The service will be led, this week, by Rev. Neil Johnson
It starts as normal at 10.00 o’clock. All welcome (based on the last two weeks it is not necessary to ask people to let us know if they plan to attend).
Sunday Worship resources
There are broadcast Sunday services each week on radio & television as follows:-
Radio 4. 8.10am. Sunday Worship

Thoughts for the week
“Don’t quit, and don’t give up. The reward is just around the corner. And in times of doubt or times of joy, listen for that still, small voice. Know that God has been there from the beginning—and he will be there until . . . The End.”― Joanna Gaines,
We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive. C.S.Lewis
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls. Mother Teresa
