Prayers are requested for:-

  • All those whose mental health or whose businesses have been put in jeopardy by local lockdown restrictions.
  • All who are suffering the long term effects of covid infection

Parish update

Last Sunday the service was attended by a total of 24 people which included 7 on Zoom. Though the “new normal” form of services takes a little getting used to as we adhere to the guidelines, we have increasing numbers participating week on week.

We welcome Revd. Rob Morristo take our service this week which will be Harvest themed though we are not in a position to collect donations of food in church. However, you are encouraged to make donations to the food bank at your local supermarket when you shop this week and every week. of the country

This Sunday at Hazelwell

The service will start as normal at 10.00 o’clock. All welcome. (Based on recent weeks it is not necessary to ask people to let us know if they plan to attend).

Our latest total is £991.50 from donations and sales of cakes and masks. We know there is more to come and are very grateful to all who have helped to achieve this outstanding total.

B30 Foodbank – w/e September 26th 2020

Last week we fed 157 people (92 adults 65 children) on 66 vouchers
Tuesday 28 vouchers 35 adults 26 children total 61
Friday 38 vouchers 57 adults 39 children total 96
The total amount of food used was 1382 kgs Donations totalled 1046kgs

Urgently needed Smash, rice pudding, tinned potato, custard, hot chocolate, Blue milk long life. Long life fruit juice, 500g bags of sugar, bottles of squash, macaroni cheese, toothpaste, single wrapped toothbrushes, disposable razors, shampoo, deodorant, laundry liquid/powder, 5&6 nappies, sturdy bags for life size

Lower in Stock treats tinned fruit, tinned spaghetti, noodles, jam, squash, rice, toilet roll, cereal.

Well stocked tea coffee fish meat vegetables pasta sauce, biscuits, shower gel soap toilet roll,

We do not need Baked beans, soup, tinned tomatoes, pasta, rice, tea, coffee, fish, meat, vegetables, pasta sauce, biscuits, sanitary wear, shower gel, soap, toilet roll, bottled water, carrier bags

Dedication Service - Next Sunday evening would have the Annual Dedication Service. As we are unable to hold it this we have prepared a power point which we send round next Sunday with the statistics, case studies and a meditation

Warehousing: B30 Foodbank Warehouse, is at 17 Castle Rd, Kings Norton Business Park, B30 3HZ. 2.00-4.00 on Tuesday and Friday.
