A message from Matt

My name's Revd. Matt Churchouse, and I, Anna (my wife) and Benjamin (our 20 month year old son) send you greetings and want to wish you peace and renewal at the start of the new year.

For the last 3 and half years, we have been worshiping at St. Martin's Church in the Bullring where I have been one of the ministers / priests there, and, whilst awaiting upcoming interviews for ministry roles beyond that time as a curate, I have been granted the opportunity, until Easter time, to come and worship, help out, and support you, as well as St. Bede's church, as an interim priest for these coming months.

Whilst I'll be ministering at St. Bede's for a number of their Sunday 11am services, I will also be coming to a number of Hazelwell's 10am services (even if sometimes leaving before the end to cycle down the hill to help at St. Bede's), and will be around during the week as well to help, encourage, and support both churches in your on-going ministries.

Having joined you at Hazelwell for worship on Christmas Eve (and with Anna and Benjamin having come earlier in the year as well), we've very much appreciated your warmth as a church family and are looking forward to these months ahead worshiping with you.

We look forward to meeting you in person in the weeks ahead, and in the meantime wish you peace and freshness at the start of 2024.

A Celtic Blessing for the week

Deep peace of the running wave to you,

Deep peace of the flowing air to you,

Deep peace of the quiet earth to you,

Deep peace of the shining stars to you,

Deep peace of the son of peace to you.

Deep Peace
